SUN SALUTE
Why should we offer water to the rising SUN in early morning ?
When we give water to the sun by raising both our hands
towards Sun, a very thin flow of water falls from the Lota (Type of Utensil),
then the sun rays directly falls on the water and through the principle of
refraction and reflection, 7 forms of light gets extracted from the natural
sunlight, finally gets absorbed by our body, which is very helpful for
increasing our brain power , Memory power , concentration and intellectual
power. It also improves eyesight, lustre and increase vigor due to effect of 7 different
scattered coloured lights because every scattered light makes different effects
on various energy points in our body.
It is scientifically proved that the early morning sun rays
are good for the human being. According to Ayurveda, human body is made up of
five things, air (vayu), water (jal), earth (prithvi), fire (energy) and space
(aakash) and the cure of all the ailments of the body is amongst these five
things only and the rays of the rising sun are one of these five things. Many
diseases can be cured by the use of sun rays e.g. ailments of the heart, eyes,
jaundice, leprosy and weak mind.
Rigveda says, it is sun that wakes one up from sleep. It is
due to the sun that all can work and are active. All living beings of the
creation depend on the sun. The sun removes physical, mental and spiritual
weaknesses and makes one healthy and long lived.
Therefore, we should all offer water to SUN GOD in early
morning, when colour of sun is orange.
